„Wireless" capsule endoscopy (CE), introduced in 2000, revolutionized the diagnostics of the small bowel. This method is suitable for the non-invasive and painless examination of the entire small bowel. New light has been cast on bleeding, tumours, and inflammatory disease in the small bowel, as well as the detection of coeliac disease. Today, this procedure is not only appropriate for the visualization of the small bowel, but also for the examination of the oesophagus and colon with specific indications. All three methods are available in Hungary now. We have summarized both international results and our own experiences in this book, and strived to colour the publication with our own pictorial materials. We recommend the book to all those who are interested in the recognition of digestive system diseases.
