Phonetics and Phonology in German Language is a book primarily written for university and college students at the faculties of German Language and Literature, for teachers of German language and for all those who are interested in German linguistic studies for any reason. In addition to this it can be a useful reading for those language learners of German who aim at improving their pronunciation. Especially the units on phonology reflect generative aspects but the author considers and mentions other points of view as well all through the book. The selected passages in the chrestomathy also refer to various aspects of phonetics.
