This Latin-Hungarian dictionary is primarily tailored to the needs of school usage, considering the latest results of classical philology. It defines some 41,000 dictionary items (meanings, phrases, expressions) under some 17,300 headwords in bold. Besides the vocabulary of secondary school textbooks and reference books, it also contains the whole vocabulary of the most important classical authors: in the works of CAESAR, CATULLUS (except for his letters), CICERO, HORATIUS, LIVIUS, NEPOS (outside his shorter works), OVIDIUS, PHAEDRUS, the young PLINIUS, PROPERTIUS (except for Historiae), SALLUSTIUS, TACITUS, TIBULLUS and VERGILIUS. By this means a new handbook is provided for all those who are interested in Latin classical authors on occasion and those for whom it is a hobby.
