The main objective of the Hungarian-Turkish-Hungarian Dictionary for tourists is to cover everyday situations potentially encountered by travellers, taking the characteristics of the target country into consideration. Thus, the dictionary contains the most essential general vocabulary, as well the words used specifically in travelling and tourism. The entries are edited in a way that makes it possible to construct simple sentences. Within the range of possibility, the approx. 10,000 entries and the example sentences combine the advantages of general and special dictionaries, as well as those of foreign language conversational textbooks. The editor of the dictionary placed special emphasis on the vocabulary of the following fields: accommodation, meals, shopping, ticket purchase, sightseeing, dealing with officials, cultural events, sport events, accidents, health problems, and various unexpected situations.
