Boyfriends and Girlfriends. Together and Against Each Other.

Though friendship is one of the most common relationships, it has been discovered by psychologists only for some decades. Hungarian psychological tradition extremely misses investigations in friendship considering different viewpoints at the same time. This book contains results of such an examination. The focus of this study is to reveal gender differences and similarities emerging in structure and processes of relationships between friends, especially in competitive situations. Our experiences unequivocally confirm the theories, which consider competition a very important and sometimes unavoidable factor in same-sex friendships.
