This work provides an overview of skin effect models with simple geometries for engineers and researchers in the field of electrical engineering. The reader is assumed to have proper knowledge of the electromagnetic field and mathematics at university level. The 1D and 2D analytical models discussed in the book help conceiving the phenomena of electromagnetic skin and proximity effects, they provide an easy way of inspecting the influence of different parameters, and they can be used for pre-estimating the results of precise computer simulations.
